T minus 4 hours

So, nun ist der Tag also wirklich gekommen. Heute Nacht geht es nach Australien...oder erst nach Dubai und dann nach Australien.

Die letzte Woche war wirklich nochmal richtig voll gepackt. Shoppen mit Mutti, Sachen packen für zehn Monate (keine einfache Aufgabe), Klettern mit dem Cousin, die Geburtstagsfeier meiner Schwester, Radeln und Kino mit Judith und schließlich der letzte Abend in Deutschland mit Freunden und Familie. Noch einmal vielen Dank an alle, die da waren und auch für die süßen Geschenke.   Nun hab ich auch das passende T-shirt für die Reise :)

Im Moment sitze ich noch vorm Check-In in Frankfurt und warte, dass ich endlich mein Gepäck aufgeben darf und dann sind es nur noch wenige Stunden bis ich abhebe und mein Unterbewusstsein vielleicht doch endlich mal kapiert, dass ich die nächsten zehn Monate in Australien verbringen werde. Zum Glück meint die isländische Plattentektonik es scheinbar gut mit mir, also kann ich tatsächlich ins Abenteuer aufbrechen :)

The day has finally come - tonight (and tomorrow and tomorrow night) I'll be on my way to Australia....or first to Dubai and then to Australia.

My last couple of days in Germany were quite exciting but also stressful. Shopping with my mum, packing for ten months (not an easy task), rock climbing with my cousin,  my sister's birthday party, a biking trip to the movies with Judith and, finally,  I spent my last evening in Germany with family and friends. Thanks to everyone who was there, especially for the lovely presents. As you can see on the picture, I got the perfect t-shirt for my trip :)

At the moment I am waiting for the check-in at the airport to finally open so I can get rid off my HUGE backpack.  Then I'll only have a couple of hours left until it's time to get on the plane and to finally really understand that I'll be spending the next ten months in Australia.
Luckily, it seems as the volcano in Iceland is on my side and won't spew ash in the air today. This wonderful adventure can really begin!
